speaking at GodFirst Church

A couple weeks ago I was asked by my pastor here, Greg Tait, to give a recap with Riley (other AIA staff here) about Athletes in Action's World Cup outreaches. This past Sunday we presented to our batallion with a few photos. Pastor Greg introduced us as 'two people that have come to serve our land(South Africa)'. Its so cool to feel so loved by a group of people. This church has been one of the greatest parts of my year here. GodFirst is so radical in creating a real sense of missional living with a heart that just loves its city of Joburg. our small presentation was a great time to let our congregation know what exactly we did in all of the outreach that went down over the course of the World Cup and the couple weeks leading up to it.

Here is a picture of me below speaking at church and of course Riley is laughing because I greeted the congregation in English, Afrikaans, and Zulu. (side-note: those are only 3 of the 11 OFFICIAL languages of South Africa...So I gotta keep working on the other 8).
